I would like to exend a special thank you to Dover Saddlery for being a sponsor of the Riding Center Program which enables interested youth to participate in this very special and valuable experience.

The Pony Club program at Glenoaks is for those individuals wanting to embrace horses and horseback riding as a lifestyle. It differs from the regular riding school program where students typically only ride 1-2 hours per week in lessons, in that our Pony Clubbers spend a significant amount of time at the barn performing chores that they would normally be doing at home if they owned their own horse and kept it on their property in the traditional sense.

It is by this commitment to the program that students learn what caring for and maintaining the overall health of their horse really entails and how they become very knowledgeable horsemen. This is everything from stall cleaning, feeding, proper grooming, basic veterinary care assessments, equipment care, stable management and much more.

We are so pleased to see all our Pony Club youngsters being so supportive of one another in their learning processes and showing good team spirit. Their cheerful attitudes makes Glenoaks Equestrian Center a wonderful place for our horse enthusiasts to hang out.

Ratings Winter 2010
Glenoaks Stables would like to congratulate Noelle, Audrey, AnnaLise and Lauren P. on achieving their recent ratings. All four pony clubbers were well prepared for a day of mounted and unmounted testing.

Thank you MacKenzie Cameron and Vickie Horvatich along with their mothers for testing our Pony Clubbers on the holiday weekend. The experience you provided was top notch and so well conducted. I am so pleased to see how accomplished pony clubbers turn out with years of experience in the program.
