GLENOAKS STABLES RIDING SCHOOL PROGRAM

Glenoaks Stables offers quality instruction to both youths and adults.

Learn english-seat riding instruction for children and adults. We teach students to understand a horse's natural movement and how they influence this movement as riders.

Our riding philosophy is based on a deep respect for horses as living beings and how our good horsemanship improves their lives. Students learn grooming and basic horse health care, how to properly maintain tack and other equipment used for riding, as well as the basic stabling requirements necessary to maintain a healthy horse.

We offer private and small group lessons. For those who want to ride and practice more often, our schools horses are available for lease. The Riding School is open Tuesday through Sundays.

Many students who start out in our Riding School move on to become successful horse owners. We offer the opportunity to buy your own horse and to even compete on the show circuit through our Training Business, known as, Isola Stables.

Stable Club

Developed using a similar curriculum to our popular summer camps, Stable Club lets young horse lovers enjoy an immersion experience over a series of weekend afternoons.

Birthday Parties

Glenoaks is a great place for birthday parties! This 2 hour activity includes a stable tour, demonstrations about horse care, grooming and a short riding lesson. Birthday cake and snacks are served our social room or at the outdoor picnic tables. We make every effort to ensure your birthday child and friends have an enjoyable experience. Prices start at $400 and cover set up, party and clean up by Glenoaks staff.

Schooling Shows High Point Series

Schooling shows are a fun low-stress way for students to experience the thrill of competitive riding in their "home" stable. Each show offers a variety of classes from lead-line through 2' jumpers. In 2012, we upped the competitive level by awarding points for each division. Each division will eligible for year-end points. A Champion and Reserve Champion will be named at each show. And at the end of the year, there will be a prize for the rider with the most points overall.
